Ingredients

Dry Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 3/4 cups granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt

Wet Ingredients

  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 cup boiling water

Filling & Topping

  • 2 cups dark chocolate ganache
  • 1 cup chocolate shavings

Instructions 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease two 8-inch pans.
  • Mix dry ingredients, then add eggs, milk, oil, vanilla; beat until smooth.
  • Stir in boiling water until thin; pour into pans.
  • Bake 30-35 minutes; cool completely.
  • Spread ganache between layers and on top; decorate with shavings.
