A delicious and comforting peach cobbler with a sweet, buttery topping, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Peaches

  • 2 29 oz cans sliced peaches
  • 1 cups sugar
  • 1 3/4 cups all purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg

Cobbler Topping

  • 1 1/4 cups all purpose flour
  • 1 egg yolk egg yolk
  • 3/4 cups granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup cold butter sliced in 1/2 tablespoons pieces
  • 1/4 cup buttermilk
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt

Instructions 

  • Drain peaches and pour into a 9x13 inch baking dish.
  • Sprinkle 1/3 cup flour, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt on peaches; gently stir. Set aside.
  • Preheat oven to 375°F. Mix dry ingredients; whisk egg yolk and buttermilk; combine into dry ingredients to form shaggy dough. Pour over peaches.
  • Cut butter into 1/2 inch pieces, scatter over mixture, sprinkle with 1 tablespoon sugar. Bake 30-40 minutes until golden and bubbling.

Notes

Serve warm with ice cream for an extra treat.
