A delicious and hearty lasagna perfect for feeding a crowd with minimal fuss.

Ingredients

Noodles

  • 1 pound lasagna noodles

Meat

  • 1 pound ground beef

Sauce

  • 1 jar marinara sauce (24 ounces)

Cheese

  • 1 container ricotta cheese (15 ounces)
  • 1 egg egg
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • to taste Salt and pepper
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions 

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Cook noodles, then brown beef and mix with sauce.
  • Mix ricotta with egg and seasonings. Layer meat sauce, noodles, ricotta, and cheese in a baking dish.
  • Repeat layers, top with remaining cheese, cover with foil.
  • Bake for 25 minutes, then uncover and bake 10-15 minutes until bubbly and golden.
  • Let stand 10 minutes before serving.

Notes

You can prepare the layers ahead of time for quicker assembly.
