Ingredients

Protein

  • 1 pound uncooked shrimp (peeled and deveined) (tails on or off)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil (or garlic herb butter or sesame oil)
  • 3 tablespoons hot honey
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce (see notes for gluten-free option)
  • 1 clove garlic (minced or ¼ tsp garlic powder)
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice (from ½ lime)

Garnish & serving

  • Chopped scallions (for garnish)

Instructions 

  • Season the shrimp with salt and pepper.
  • Mix hot honey, soy sauce, garlic, and lime juice to make the sauce.
  • Heat oil in a skillet, sear shrimp for 1 minute on one side.
  • Add sauce, flip shrimp, and cook until fully cooked, about 1 minute.
  • Remove shrimp, optionally simmer sauce to thicken, then serve garnished with scallions.

Notes

Adjust hot honey for desired sweetness and spice level.
