This vibrant green smoothie combines fresh produce and superfoods for a quick, nutritious boost. Perfect for a refreshing start or a healthy snack.

Ingredients

Produce

  • 2 cups Fresh spinach (mild flavor and loads of nutrients)
  • 0.5 medium Cucumber (hydrating and refreshing)
  • 1 small Green apple (cored, tart-sweet balance)
  • 1 cup Pineapple (fresh or frozen, natural sweetness)
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh lemon juice (brightness and a gentle tang)
  • 0.5 to 1 inch Fresh ginger (optional heat and digestive support)
  • 1 tablespoon Chia seeds (fiber and omega-3 fats)
  • 1 to 1.5 cups Cold water or coconut water (choose your preferred base)
  • a handful Ice (especially if using fresh pineapple)

Optional add-ins

  • fresh mint, parsley, celery, avocado, protein powder, or a pinch of sea salt (optional flavor and nutritional boosts)

Instructions 

  • Rinse the spinach, peel and chop the ginger, core the apple, and slice the cucumber.
  • Add liquids first in the blender, then layer in spinach, cucumber, apple, pineapple, ginger, lemon juice, and chia seeds. Top with ice.
  • Blend until smooth, about 30–60 seconds. Adjust thickness with more liquid or ice as needed.
  • Taste and adjust brightness with more lemon, sweetness with pineapple or banana, or zing with extra ginger.
  • Pour into a glass, add ice if desired, and serve immediately.

Notes

For a colder drink, add ice to the glass before serving.
