A quick and flavorful skillet dish combining ground turkey and asparagus in a garlic butter sauce, perfect for a healthy weeknight dinner.

Ingredients

Meat

  • 1 lb ground turkey
  • 1 lb asparagus (ends trimmed and chopped into 1-inch pieces)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Juice from 1 lemon lemon juice
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter ((1/2 stick))
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 teaspoons onion powder
  • 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (as needed)
  • Lemon slices for garnish
  • to taste Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper

Instructions 

  • Add half of the olive oil to a large skillet over medium heat.
  • Cook asparagus until barely tender, add lemon juice, salt, and pepper. Remove to a plate.
  • Add butter and remaining oil, cook turkey until no longer pink, then add garlic and onion powder until fragrant.
  • Stir in Worcestershire sauce, water, and cook until liquid reduces, about 2 minutes.
  • Push turkey to one side, add asparagus to the other, spoon sauce over asparagus, top with parsley, and serve with lemon slices.

Notes

For extra flavor, add a squeeze of lemon before serving.
