A flavorful one-pan dish combining seasoned ground beef, garlic, rice, and cheesy toppings for a hearty meal.

Ingredients

Meat and Dairy

  • 1 lb ground beef (450 g)
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Oils and Aromatics

  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 medium onion, diced

Rice and Broth

  • 1 cup long-grain white rice
  • 2 1/4 cups beef broth
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper

Herbs and Seasonings

  • Optional red pepper flakes (pinch, optional)

Fresh Herbs

  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley

Instructions 

  • Heat oil in a skillet, cook beef until browned, then drain excess fat.
  • Add butter and onion, sauté until translucent, then stir in garlic and cook briefly.
  • Add rice, toast for 1-2 minutes, then pour in broth and seasonings. Simmer covered for 18-20 minutes.
  • Rest for 3-5 minutes, then fluff rice and stir in cheeses until melted. Garnish with parsley and serve.

Notes

For extra flavor, add red pepper flakes during cooking.
