Enjoy this quick and delicious dessert featuring sweet, caramelized peaches cooked to perfection in a skillet.

Ingredients

Peaches

  • 4 pieces ripe peaches, halved and pitted
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Pinch salt
  • Optional Fresh mint leaves for garnish
  • Optional Vanilla ice cream or whipped cream for serving

Instructions 

  • Wash and halve the peaches, removing pits. Slice into wedges if desired.
  • Melt butter in a skillet over medium heat. Add brown sugar and stir until combined.
  • Place peach halves cut side down in the skillet. Cook for 3-5 minutes until caramelized.
  • Flip peaches and cook for another 3-5 minutes until tender. Add cinnamon, vanilla, and salt, stirring gently.
  • Remove from heat, garnish with mint, and serve warm with ice cream or whipped cream if desired.

Notes

For extra flavor, add a splash of bourbon or lemon juice during cooking.
