A quick and flavorful one-pan meal combining ground beef, pasta, and basil pesto for a creamy, satisfying dish.

Ingredients

Meat and Pasta

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 8 ounces pasta (your choice)
  • 1/2 cup basil pesto
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese (plus extra for serving)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • to taste Salt and pepper
  • for garnish Fresh basil (optional)

Instructions 

  • Cook pasta in salted boiling water until al dente; drain and set aside, reserving 1/2 cup of pasta water.
  • In a skillet, heat olive oil and cook ground beef with salt and pepper until browned; drain excess fat.
  • Add garlic to beef and cook 1 minute; stir in pesto and heavy cream, simmer 2-3 minutes.
  • Add cooked pasta and cherry tomatoes; toss, adding reserved pasta water if needed, cook 2-3 minutes.
  • Stir in Parmesan cheese until melted; adjust seasoning and serve with extra cheese and basil if desired.

Notes

Use fresh basil for garnish for added flavor and presentation.
