A rich and flavorful dish featuring tender chicken breasts in a creamy mushroom sauce, perfect for a comforting meal.

Ingredients

Protein

  • 2 large chicken breasts (halved and dredged in flour)
  • Salt & pepper (to taste) Salt & pepper
  • Flour (for dredging) Flour

Cooking Fats

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons butter

Mushrooms

  • 12 ounces mushrooms (cremini or white, sliced)
  • 1/4 teaspoon teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 3 cloves Garlic (minced)

Broth & Sauces

  • 1/2 cup ml chicken broth
  • 1/2 teaspoon teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon teaspoon Dijon mustard

Cream

  • 1 cup heavy/whipping cream

Instructions 

  • Season chicken with salt & pepper, dredge in flour, then cook in oil until golden, about 4-5 minutes per side.
  • Remove chicken; melt butter, cook mushrooms with Italian seasoning until browned.
  • Add garlic, broth, lemon juice, and mustard; simmer until reduced by half.
  • Stir in cream, return chicken and mushrooms; cook until sauce thickens and chicken is cooked through.

Notes

Serve with rice or pasta for a complete meal.
