This creamy pasta sauce combines cottage cheese and Parmesan for a rich, protein-packed topping that elevates any pasta dish.

Ingredients

Dairy

  • 1 1/2 cups cottage cheese (2% or full-fat)
  • 1/3 cup parmesan cheese (grated)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Spices & Seasonings

  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes

Other

  • 1/2 cup pasta water
  • 1 tablespoon nutritional yeast

Instructions 

  • Cook pasta according to package instructions and save 1/2 cup of pasta water.
  • In a blender, combine cottage cheese, Parmesan, garlic, salt, black pepper, red pepper flakes, pasta water, olive oil, and nutritional yeast. Blend until smooth.
  • Pour the sauce over cooked pasta and toss to combine.
  • Heat gently if needed, then serve immediately.

Notes

Use full-fat cottage cheese for creamier texture and richer flavor.
