Ingredients

Base

  • 0.25 cup chia seeds
  • 1 cup milk of choice ((almond, oat, coconut, or dairy))
  • 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder (use the good stuff for deep, rich flavor)
  • 2-3 tablespoons maple syrup or honey (adjust to your sweetness preference)
  • 0.5 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional, adds warmth)
  • Pinch salt (brings out the chocolate)

  • to taste shaved chocolate
  • to taste coconut flakes
  • to taste nut butter drizzle

Instructions 

  • Whisk together milk, cocoa powder, sweetener, vanilla, and salt until smooth.
  • Add chia seeds and stir thoroughly to distribute evenly.
  • Let sit for 5 minutes, then stir again to prevent clumping.
  • Cover and refrigerate for 2-4 hours or overnight to set.
  • Stir before serving, then top with berries, banana, chocolate shavings, coconut, and nut butter.
