Ingredients

Wet ingredients

  • 2/3 cup mashed banana
  • 3 tbsp pure maple syrup (or honey)
  • 2 tbsp oil (or water)
  • 1/2 tsp pure vanilla extract (optional)

Dry ingredients

  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt

Instructions 

  • Whisk all liquid ingredients in a large bowl.
  • Mix dry ingredients separately.
  • Combine wet and dry ingredients to form batter.
  • Grease donut pan and fill with batter.
  • Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 8 minutes until donuts rise and are cooked through.
  • Let cool, then remove from pan. Add icing if desired.

Use ripe bananas for best flavor and sweetness.
